Are there any extra charges if payment isn't made within 48 hours?
If usage isn't paid within 48 hours through Autopay's payment options after you leave the parking facility, a late-payment service fee is added and the invoice is sent for bank collection.
Do I need a payment card linked to my Autopay.io account?
It isn't required, but it's both the safest and simplest approach. Otherwise you can pay each time by visiting www.autopay.io and paying with a card.
Can I have more than one car on my profile?
Yes. You can have as many cars on your profile as you like.
Note though that parking subscriptions are typically for one car on the facility at a time — so you can't park two cars at the same facility under a single permit.
What shows on the screen if I don't have an Autopay account?
When driving onto a parking facility with screens the screen prompts "Velkomin" which means Welcome. Should you have a permit for parking the prompted text reflects your current permit status.
When exiting the parking facility a prompt appears asking the driver to pay within 48 hours at www.autopay.io, or by bank payment slip after that.
What does a subscription cost at car parks managed by Gulur bíll?
At some of our car parks you can buy a subscription for your car. The price list for those locations is here: www.gulur.is/verdskra/
Where can I see what I owe for parking?
For the first 48 hours after parking you can see the amount at autopay.io by entering the relevant licence plate.
Note that after 48 hours from the end of parking, payment options for the parking are no longer shown and a payment slip with a late-payment fee is sent (see price list).
How do I subscribe to a parking space?
On our website www.gulur.is there is a link to the subscription form (Subscription form).
How do I create an autopay.io account?
Go to autopay.io and fill in all requested information. The simplest and safest approach is to register a payment card and set it to "Automatic payments" so that payments go through automatically.
How does billing work?
1. When you drive into the parking facility, your licence plate is read by cameras and time tracking begins.
2. When you drive out of the facility, your licence plate is read again and time tracking stops. The fee is calculated from the parking duration.
Payment options
Pay automatically
With a payment card registered on your Autopay.io profile, you just drive in and out of the facility and pay automatically for the service. Receipts are on your profile at Autopay.io.
Pay online within 48 hours
You can pay online for parking within 48 hours after leaving the facility. Go to Autopay.io, enter the licence plate and pay for the parking.
Pay via payment slip
If none of the other payment methods are used, you'll receive a payment slip from the facility operator. A late-payment fee is added to the parking fee, so we recommend using the earlier options.
